Welcome to Rockwell's Patchwork Acres in the heart of Idaho.
We have both been raised on ranches and farms in Idaho. We
have worked with horses all of our lives.

We have been raising Paints and Quarter horses since 1975.
Our ranch is located in the Heart of Idaho along the Continental
Divide, in the River of No Return homeland of Sacajawea just
12 miles south of Salmon, Idaho.
Our goal is to provide the horse public with some of the
finest bred paint/pinto and quarter horses in the North West.
As members of AQHA, NFQHA, APHA & PtHA, we have selected
some of the finest bloodlines of these organizations. This
selection has given us the best of quality in disposition,
conformation, and athletic ability.
Over the years, we have developed a style of working with
young horses and foals to bring about a well-rounded horse.
Our foals are haltered at an early age and their training
continues until they are saddled and broke as a two year old.
They are brought along slow and solid. We believe in allowing
the horse to learn. Not forcing him to perform. Our two year
olds are rode in the rugged mountains of Idaho as part of
their training. They are rode around cattle and exposed to
as many different obstacles as possible to ensure a well balanced
riding horse that is ready to go to a trainer and start a
career in racing, hunter-jumper, cutting, reining, show ring,
roping, or any other equine activity.
